We took the boat out a few times, even in the cold. We had the adventure of taking it out early in January. Partway through our boating, we needed a bathroom for a girl emergency. We drove a couple of places on the lake, looking for a bathroom or gas station to no avail. Then we found a place where one could be, but on the way there, we totally got beached. We tried to get unbeached, and broke an oar in the process. Then I jumped in to help get us off the sand bar. I was able to help the boat get free, but then Joe took off a little fast and I had to make a quick jump to make it onto the boat before it drove away. It was painful. Nate took Hunter Abernathy on that trip and Ellie took Sydney Wells.
Once it warmed up enough during quarantine, we went out on the boat. We took the Frosts with us. It was super fun. We had figured out some of the details of pulling a tube, so it worked better.
Joe decided after this that maybe he wanted a boat that was better for fishing and for pulling tubes, so he sold the pontoon boat.
