Michael Adam Joe Scout Camp 2018

Adam, Michael and Joe all got to go to the same Scout Camp this year. They went to Sid Richardson Scout Ranch up near Dallas.  They would wake up, do an activity and then get on their pontoon boats and go to another part of the lake to do another activity. Then they would do that activity, spend the night neat their activity and get up and do it again.  Some of the activities they did were: shooting cannons, acting like Vikings, jumping onto the blob in the lake, covert ops, sailing, tubing and wake boarding.  They all got sunburned. They dressed up in different outfits depending on the activity they were doing.  This was their confederate outfit for shooting cannons.

Michael came home filthy.
Sometime in the middle of his camp or my girls camp, he grew taller than me!

Eagle Scout Court of Honor

The boys officially earned their Eagle over the summer.  This is them on the way to their Eagle Board of Review.  Adam had all of his stuff for Eagle done last summer, it just took a year for the people in leadership to get his paperwork taken care of enough for him to get to the Board of Review.  Michael's was done last fall.  Adam had his interview first because he had to get back to work, so technically he was done first.
We were able to do their court of honor together.  It was a lovely event- we had it at the church.  Grammie and Grandpa Stratton came into town to celebrate with them.
Michael requested that Ellie make him a layered cake, and so she did. She also made all the cupcakes.

Each boy had a table with a display of all of the awards and projects that they had made over the years.  Michael's:

I am so unbelievably proud of these two boys.  It was a lot of work to earn their Eagle, and they did all of the paperwork themselves.  There are so many valuable things that they have learned from completing this, and I hope they are able to draw upon those things for the rest of their lives.
