Joe's Bear Hunt

When I asked Joe if Ellie and I could go to Paris last year, he said sure, but he really wanted to go on a bear hunt.  The time for his bear hunt finally came in May.  He went to Maine and went hunting with Bill.  He said you had to sit perfectly still and wait for hours a day. Any slight movement, any bodily noises or smells would scare the bears away.  Finally, on one of the last days, he shot a bear.  He sent me this picture of the bear he shot.

I thought it looked a lot like the bear we had at home.

Later they took a better picture of Joe with his bear.  He plans to get the bear made into a rug and then we get to negotiate where the bear will be displayed.
