Michael and Adam are in high school and have seminary before school, so they leave at 5:35 am. Michael is a freshman at a new high school, Grand Oaks.
Adam is a junior. Even though there is a new high school, they did not allow juniors to go to it, so he is still going to Oak Ridge High School.
Nate is finally out of elementary school. He is a 5th grader at Cox Intermediate School. It is a little over a mile away so there is a bus he could ride, but most days he opts to ride his bike. His school doesn't start until 8:50 so he doesn't leave the house until 8:20, fully three hours after the boys leave.
Ellie is in 7th grade at the junior high. It is right next door to the intermediate school, but she chooses to ride the bus because then she can talk to all her friends on the bus. She also leaves after 8 am. Ellie and Nate only get home one hour after the boys do!
