This year for Christmas, we decided to go visit Margie and her family, Joe's mom and Steve, and Jayne and her family. We got tickets that left on Christmas eve and landed almost at midnight. We planned to stay the night somewhere and end up at their house after all the presents were opened, but a huge storm came in that evening and we had to drive as fast as we could to stay ahead of it.
The trip was quite enjoyable- we really enjoyed visiting with Joe's family. The weather was quite dismal. There were record lows and the day before we were set to leave they cancelled our flight and we couldn't rebook it for a few days. They had a wierd weather event called a bomb cyclone pass through. I guess its like a hurricane in the winter with ice. Needless to say, it was more excitement than we expected. As soon as the bomb cyclone storm cleared, we went into Boston and went to the museums there so we could not have to worry about weather for when we left town.
