Ellie tried out and made the York Cheer Team for 7th grade. The first thing that the cheerleaders got to do was to go to cheer camp. It was over the summer and included all of the junior high teams in the district. She absolutely loved it.
One of her best friends from school, Sydney Wells is on her cheer team, so they got to carpool together.
On the last day of camp, there were nominations for best cheerleader in several different catagories. Ellie got nominated for best cheerleader (all around) and best tumbler. Here are all the girls that got nominated for best cheerleader.
She also got to be a flier for her team. That means that she is on the top of the cheer stunts.
These are the finalists for the best tumbler. Ellie won the best tumbler competition!

She even got to see her old gymnastics teammate, Memphis, who is also a cheerleader for her junior high.
