We just got back from a trip for a couple of days to the beach. My good friend, Sharon, goes down to the beach every year for a week, and she invited us for part of the time. Her boys are the same age as Michael and they all love to play together.
Adam was in Florida, with his best friend, so we only had the three youngest. Michael with Shane and Logan.
Ellie and I. Ellie kept wanting to go out deep in the water, but Nate always wanted to go too, so we didn't get to go out as deep and she wanted.
Nate enjoyed playing in the sand and at the edge of the ocean.
Ellie liked sitting under the shade. She didn't want to be too wet, or too hot.
Really, just a diva in training.
We collected hermit crabs that we found in the water. Then the kids would play with them, and see if they could get them to fight each other.
At night we would go out after dark and run around on the beach with flashlights, finding the sand crabs and catching them. After we had a bucket full of them, we would all stand in a circle and dump the crabs, then see who moved first. Here are all the kids (including several of Sharon's nieces) Logan, Sara, Lulu, Ellie, Ally, Shane.Michael and Nate.
We had a blast. I have never had as much fun at the beach before, we will have to do it again, hopefully we get invited back!
