Fishing at Panguitch Lake

I have a ton of pictures from our trip out to visit grammie and grandpa.  Since this is how I make the kids their photo books, the next few posts will be full of lots of pictures.  One of the boys (and especially Joe's) favorite things to do at the cabin is to go fishing.  My parents have two boats, a pontoon boat that we all go out on almost every evening after dinner, and a small jon boat that they would sometimes go out on in the mornings.  Joe has gotten really good at fishing in the lake, and we would almost always catch more than 10 fish while we were out for an hour or two.

Michael doesn't really like to fish.  On the pontoon boat, he usually just curled up with a book.  On our trip he reread the Harry Potter series.
Nate was always wherever the action was.  He was loud and underfoot and curious about everything going on.  He also had to pee every 15 minutes, maybe because it was a new thing to pee over the side of the boat?

With the exception of 2 fish, all of the fishing was catch and release.  We found that since no one ever eats the fish, it wasn't worth it to save any,

In this next picture, Nate is impressed with the size of the incoming fish.

The little boat was much more crowded, but it was still fun for everyone to go out fishing.

Lots of fun. Was I the only one who liked the smoked trout?
