Our First Teenager

We recently got our first teenager.  I'm so glad that Adam is our oldest because he is so good, genuinely deeply good to his core, that he sets such a good example for the other kids.  He loves to follow the rules- even rules that he has made up in his head.  He works super hard and doesn't allow himself to get anything but the best of everything.  (Sometimes its a little exhausting ).  He is very interested in a lot of things- lately it has been cars- he is learning all the different makes and models of cars and what they are known for- which ones are good, which ones have lots of power and such.  He also loves electronics- but he is really interested in taking them apart to see how they work. He is always begging for broken phones or radios or R/C cars so that he can take them apart and try to fix them.  A few months ago, he got his dad to give him some money to invest in stocks, and he has been following up on that trying to make money with it. 

It truly is fascinating to see his mind work so hard.  He loves his friends (definitely a teenager) and tries to find every opportunity to hang out with them.  He dreads his piano, but we are working on a plan for him to get out in a year.
