Ellie's 10th Birthday

Ellie just had her 10th birthday!  Every even year of their life, they are allowed to have a friend party.  We tried to think of a place that Ellie could go to have a friend party, but she wanted to invite all of her church friends and her gymnastic friends, so that was a little too many people to do out in public.  Instead we had a witch/ craft party at our house.
She had 17 friends come!  They decorated treat bags, made beaded bracelets, modge-podged a tray, decorated cupcakes and made a cute witch hat treat.  In between, they jumped on the trampoline and pretended they were cats.  It was high intensity, but fun!

Here are most of the girls dolled up at the end!

Ellie opted to have cookies as her treat on her birthday.  She got lots of girly presents.  Nate got to be the present delivery guy and he delivered as if he were a turtle (and at about the same speed).

Ellie is a treat to have in our family.  She is bubbly, fun, and loves to be around others.  She also likes to cook, she often makes chocolate chip cookies all by herself.  She loves to interact with friends and if she has 20 minutes to spare, she would rather spend it with a friend than anything else.  She loves gymnastics and spends at least 12 hours a week practicing, but when she is home she is always jumping around- doing kartwheels and roundoffs and practicing new tricks on the trampoline.  She does fantastic at school, always getting straight A's and really high grades on tests.  She doesn't love to read, but if coerced, will sit down and read a book.  She is starting to really like clothes and would love to go shopping all the time, if we would let her...and pay.  She still really likes american girl dolls and loves to play with them.  We are so lucky to have her in our lives!
