This year, the kids got to carve their pumpkins all by themselves. Adam opted not to have his own pumpkin, but instead to help Nate a little with his.
Now that my kids are older, they are much more creative with their posing. Our annual haunted house foam kit. Ellie and Nate did this all by themselves. Adam and Michael weren't interested.
Ellie had a trunk or treat at her gymnastics. Ironically, most of the moms there had no idea how to do a trunk or treat. We definitely did.
Nate was a scary phantom for Halloween. He wanted to pick his costume out himself, and when he did he really wanted the glowing eyes.
Michael was the heimlich manuever, and boy was that costume tricky to make. He was the patient and his feet were the Dr's feet. The rest was stuffed. Adam was white trash. He had a mullet and underarm hair. It was very funny, and I was proud of him for going with it.
Ellie was Little Red Riding Hood. She got a big cozy jacket from her Nana last year and she was excited to wear it for Halloween. Unfortunately, it was a warm, balmy evening on Halloween, so she didn't enjoy her costume fully.
We all went to the ward trunk or treat on Saturday, but Ellie got invited by her gymnastic friends to go to the haunted forest, so she ditched us for that. She did end up going trick or treating with her friends on Halloween, and here they are!
This year Joe and I even dressed up. Joe was tron and I was Minnie Mouse. Unfortunately, we didn't get any good pictures of ourselves, but you can picture it I'm sure.
