Hurricane Harvey

Sometime in mid-late August we started hearing about a hurricane that was in the Gulf of Mexico and headed our way. As it got closer and closer the meteorologists started predicting astronomical amounts of rain in the neighborhood of 30”+. Since that is an unbelievable number, I wasn’t too worried. Then the hurricane came. It hit south of us so by the time it came to us the winds were not to bad. The amount of rain that came was a ton. It came down fast and hard for the first 24 hours and then continued to fall, and fall and fall. We survived all the rain pretty well, although there were many places in Houston
