Nativity

Apparently, many families traditionally have a nice family dinner the night before Christmas. This was never my tradition growing up, we were all too busy making candy and wrapping presents that didn't get wrapped and the like. I like this tradition, though, so we invited some friends and family over to share with us. We had a quick talent show, Adam played "Away in a Manger" on the piano, Michael did a submission choke on Joe, and Ellie did a cartwheel (but not until Adam would do it with her).
After that, we had a cute little nativity. The kids dressed up like the characters from the nativity, Joe read a dialog and we sang many of the Christmas hymns. The kids were a little rambunctious and Nate couldn't leave the baby doll that was supposed to be Jesus alone, but it was a fun exercise. I think we will try to make this a tradition.
