The Louvre

The last day that we were in Paris, we went to the Louvre.  Because we had the girls with us, we did a scavenger hunt in the Louvre.  Basically, we were given a bunch of different paintings that we were supposed to see and take pictures of, then report back to see who had won.  We sprinted through the museum quickly trying to find the art and take pictures. We got lots of pictures with the art, but we didn't get to enjoy the art so much.
I did get a selfie with the Mona Lisa.

The Louvre is housed in the Louvre Palace, originally built under Philip II.  When the revolution came through, the Palace was opened to the people to show the opulence and wealth of the royals.  It eventually became a museum.

This is all of us in a group after the scavenger hunt.

Outside in the courtyard on our bike tour.
