Ellie's Senior Track Season

After Ellie's private coach moved to Arkansas, she really struggled to be as competitive in high jump.  She decided not to try to get a scholarship, but instead to go to college based on where she wanted to get a degree from and what she wanted to study.  She still tried to do well, but without the specialized guidance, when something about her jump was off, she had no way of fixing it and figuring out what to tweak to make it better.  Her high school coach was super nice, but he had no ability to accurately coach her in high jump. She did have a good season, but she didn't do as well as her previous seasons.  In the end, she was ok with that because she had a good time and did as well as she could with the resources that she had available.
One of her meets was at College Station. Michael was ready to cheer her on, he made this custom sign for her.
Of course, when we got to the meet, they wouldn't let us in with the huge-ass sign, so we had to stand outside and be obnoxious through the fence.  She still saw us, and was adequately embarrassed.

They had senior day at the end of the season.  This is Ellie with Grace.  Grace was her best friend through all of track.  She probably wouldn't have been so successful in track without Grace.

All the seniors

Ellie also got inducted into the Hall of Honor at the awards ceremony at the end of the year banquet.  Unfortunately the banquet was the same night as senior awards and Adam's rehearsal dinner and the derecho storm, so Ellie wasn't there to see her awards.
