Trip to Maine, Steve's Celebration of Life

After Nate got back from Nauvoo, we took a trip to Maine.  It was planned as botha  family reunion of Joe's family, but also a celebration of life for Steve, who passed away on November 1, 2022 from Covid. Nana had the celebration of life in a common area at her trailer park where there was a nice open area with pretty grass.
People brought food to share and they had a program where they talked about many of the wonderful things about Steve.  The things that were mentioned the most were how kind Steve was, how he was a simple man, and how he was so good at unconditionally loving those people around him.

After, we went to the cemetery where Steve's ashes were buried in a tool bag next to his family.

After that, we spent the rest of the week at camp.  We swam, kayaked, boated and hung out togethere.

Ken made a hot sauce challenge to see who could eat the hottest sauce.
One day, we all rode boats, kayaks, swam or rode a canoe out to blueberry island where we had a picnic.  It was a lot of fun.

The cousins had lots of fun staying up super late at night and doing crazy things like skinny dipping and also watching the stars.

Another day, we went to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.  We went on a hike that Ken suggested.  The hike was extremely strenuous and way harder than I thought it would be, but the views along the hike were quite amazing.

Overall, it was a fantastic trip!
