Michael's TAMU Graduation

Michael graduated from Texas A&M interdisciplinary engineering in May of 2026.  He specialized in mechanical engineering.  He thought through most of his undergrad that he would graduate and then immediately start working full time on Frostbite Industries.  Unfortunately, Frostbite was not at the stage he needed it to be to go do it full time.  Instead, he ended up getting a job in Bastrop, Texas (near Austin) working for Spacex.  He was hired on their team that was building a solar cell factory there and his specific assignment was on pack-out.  Getting the finished cells from the factory in Bastrop to the factory in Washington where the rest of the solar panel was assembled.

For his graduation, Karen Lemmon was in town and we drove up from Houston.  We went to dinner at Casa do Brasil steak house.

We even convinced him to put a little spacex logo on his cap so that we could attempt to find him the graduating seniors at the ceremony.

The next morning, Michael and his roommates and their families all went to the Broken Yolk Cafe Michael had the best roommates after his freshmen year at school.  They all got along very well.  Most of the time, they had communal cooking where they would each cook a meal one night a week and share the meal with everyone else.  They had communal groceries.  When I first heard that they were going to do that, I didn't believe it would work.  They made it work through the three years that they lived together. They all graduated at the same time.
After graduation, Michael moved to Austin and kept two of his roommates- Matthew Stiel and Jackson Balleu.  Sydney also moved in with them.
Ellie was a server at Broken Egg Cafe and got to be a server for our group.
