Spring Break to Las Vegas and the Cabin

For Spring Break, we decided to go to Las Vegas and be tourists and then go to the cabin to ski.  Spring Break is a little late in the snow season, so we knew there would be a chance that skiing wouldn't happen, but we lucked out and there was snow.

We went to Vegas a couple of days before Joe came.  I wanted to plan end of life arrangements for my parents long before they were needed.  They weren't excited about it, but I felt like it would make life easier for one or both of them later.  Then we went and walked the strip for several hours.  Sydney had never been to Las Vegas, and Nate hadn't been on the strip as a tourist since he was a little kid (and had a bad experience).  It was fun to see some of the sights and ride a roller coaster.  It was also nice that it wasn't too hot.

Then we drove to the cabin.  Joe and the kids went skiing and snowboarding.  They were able to go for two days.  The second day a storm came in and we were worried they would get stuck and not be able to get back, so after they left, we decided to pack up their things and meet them at the bottom of the mountain.  It was a crazy storm.  Nate got to try out a snowboard, and he realized that maybe he likes skiing better.
