For Nate's 17th birthday, he really wanted to try out a new Hot Pot restaurant in the Woodlands. This restaurant had hot pot and it was all you can eat. They had a lot of different kinds of meat that you could cook in your hot pot. Nate LOVED it because there were so many weird things to try and he loves trying weird things to eat.
Nate at 17 is an adventure! He is very intellectual and loves to learn about new things. He has learned so many things that he is pretty sure his knowledge base is more than everyone around him. He is very interested in science and the way things work. He is really good at fixing things, and if he doesn't know how, he is good at figuring out how to fix things. He loves to try to make rocket fuel in the backyard. It would be in the house, but I prohibited it, which is good because sometimes there is a lot of smoke coming out of the backyard and other times there are loud booms.
He is figuring out how to make sourdough. He has figured out that if he makes break and posts about it to a select group of girls on social media, they will come over and eat it, then he can interact with them. He also really likes to cook meat. He is often experimenting with new spices and recipes- most often as a second dinner, after everyone else has eaten.
He took three science AP classes school his junior year, partly because he likes them, partly because they are "easy" for him and also partly to increase his class rank. He really wants to go to Texas A&M with his siblings, so he is doing all the things to have a good application to apply there.
We are really excited to see how his senior year goes!
