There was no senior prom, senior picnic, senior night out and we weren't sure there was even going to be graduation (many schools across the country didn't end up doing graduation). Some of the people in the community decided to try to do things to help celebrate graduation for these seniors who were missing so many things. Broadway Elementary had a parade for all of the graduating seniors who went to Broadway. Adam was a little unsure if he wanted to go, but he did and it ended up being super cool. Here is Adam, Macy and Mrs. Mays, their PE teacher from when they were at Broadway.

This is Mrs. Lemon, Adam's kindergarten teacher. I never expected he would graduate from the same place he went to kindergarten, I thought that we would move before that happened, but it turned out better to stay here and it was super cool that he could see his kindergarten teacher before he graduated!
All the students that came to the parade. They tried to social distance, but really they just wanted to see each other and talk and enjoy celebrating that they were going to graduate.
Oak Ridge did a car parade instead of senior awards. This was their largest graduating class ever with over 1200 students, so they broke the parade up into 2 hours slots throughout the day. We still sat in line for 2 hours to get through the parade, but these were the times and so we did it.
Adam refused to get out of the car to take any pictures, so we just took pictures through the window. I must admit, it was nice to sit and talk to him while we waited.
