With coronavirus reeking havoc everywhere, graduations were canceled. It was unsure if the class of 2020 was going to be able to walk at graduation. A couple of weeks before June, our school district announced that they were going to do it. They split the class in half- half walked in the morning and half walked at night. They only allowed 4 guests per student. It got moved to the football stadium and everyone had to wear masks and sit 6 feet apart from everyone not in their party. The ceremony was very well done. They had videos of all the speeches and choir songs that the students prerecorded. Students had big spaces between their seats on the field and they all had matching face masks that they were given to wear.
It was still amazing! Adam graduated magna cum laude. He was in the top 10% of his graduating class. He also wore the National Honor Society cords.
They broadcast the ceremony so the Ellie, Michael and Nate could watch it from home. While they were home without us, they blew up about 250 balloons so that Adam's room was full of them when he got home.
I'm so proud of Adam and the great young man he's become!
