Ellie's track season-high jump

At the end of last year's track season, Ellie jokingly tried the high jump.  She jumped super high and one of her teammates made a joke about how Ellie's joke jump was about as high as her season best.  Ellie thought that maybe she would try high jump the next season.  She was in track class starting at the beginning of the year, but during the whole fall semester, they worked on conditioning and running, not on jumping. She didn't start jumping high jump until January.  Her first few jumps were pretty good, but then her friend gave her information about a track coach that she could visit outside of school.  We met with him a couple of times and he started teaching Ellie exactly what she needed to do to get better.  Suddenly she was winning meets and jumping way higher than she had before.  She had a great season, making new PR's at almost every meet.  She got 3rd at district, 4th at area and 7th at regionals. Her team won both district and area.

She started the season doing long jump as well, but then decided to focus on high jump when she started doing so well.
