Nate finished out his year of being the mascot by doing basketball season. This seemed like it would be a lot less hot as it was indoors, but it still was super hot. At the jr high, there would be two games going on at the same time in two different gyms and he would go between the two and be available for both teams. He enjoyed it, but not quite as well as football, probably because there is not a lot of room in the gym around the basketball courts so he didn't have a lot of space to move around in.
He also had a day where he got to go cheer at Rice with their cheerleaders and mascot.
At the end of basketball season, before cheer tryouts for next year, they had the cheer banquet. Nate enjoyed going to that. Here he is with his cheer coaches.
