The cheer team gets to cheer for basketball as well as football. Since there were still a lot of students missing school and events due to Covid, they split the cheer team into two groups and they took turns attending the different basketball games in the week.
They had a fun Christmas cheer party!
They also had a competition team on the cheer squad. This was made of all of the varsity cheer leaders that wanted to be on the team and some JV cheerleaders to fill the rest of the slots. They learned a cheer and a dance and then went up to a UIL competition in Dallas to compete. They got to stay a couple of days in Dallas. It was super fun for Ellie, but their team did not win.
