Nate's 8th grade

Nate kept himself busy while in 8th grade.  He switched before the year started from french horn to percussion.  This required him to be in the percussion class with mostly 7th graders, but he really enjoyed what he was doing more than when he was playing French horn.
He also decided for his advanced science class to do robotics.  Usually when we do that, Joe spends a lot of time with the kids helping them to build a robot.  This year, Nate went into the garage with his partner and built a robot.  When Will, his cousin, needed help, he helped him to build a robot as well.  After he took his robot into school to show that it worked, he lost it somewhere, but it hadn't been graded.  He proceeded to build another one completely from scratch!  I was super impressed with all of his skills!

He was in student council for the first half of the year.  He helped with setting up the teacher's rooms and food drives and collecting recycling.  He also was the mascot for the whole year. He especially liked doing that!
Here is the first day of kindergarten vs the last day of eighth grade!
