When Michael first became Student Body President, he felt that a student should MC the pep rallys. He had several people in mind, but when he presented the idea, the principle decided that Michael was the perfect guy for the job. He then got to MC all of the pep rallys. The last pep rally was college day pep rally where you wear the shirt of the college you are going to be attending. Michael chose to wear his Ivy League Reject shirt he got because he was rejected by a couple of Ivy League Schools.
NJHS had contests for the seniors to vote each other into certain categories. Michael won two of them.
The last couple months of school, a few teachers put together a contest with a bunch of different challenges, they called it the Da Vinci Challenge. They had math problems and engineering challenges. They were determined to win, and they did. The prize was special t-shirts.
Michael decided he wanted to do a senior prank. He thought of what he could do that would not get him or anyone else in trouble. He decided to print about 5,000 octopi with his 3D printer and set up clandestine meetings with other seniors. He got them to pass out and hide all of the octopi. He worked really hard to make it anonymous, but near the end, most everyone had a guess that it was him. He even printed out a larger one in metal and sent it anonymously to the principle. At the Honor Graduate Luncheon, Dr. Povich made a joke about whether he should name his octopus Michael or Mr. Frost. Everyone loved the prank and we loved seeing all the posts on social media about the octopi and hearing about people hiding and finding them.
At one of the nearby outdoor malls, someone posts a list of all the graduating seniors in the district. Michael went and found his name.
