Belize day 1- waterfall caves

For Spring Break we flew to Belize and stayed in Ian Anderson’s Branch Caves treehouses as a family. We had a two story treehouse that overlooked the river in the canopy of the trees. It was beautiful. Everyday there we got to go on a new adventure.
The first day we hiked through the forest and entered a cave. In order to get the trail that had the cave, we hopped into an open air truck.  Then we crossed a river and went to a nearby orange orchard. In the cave we followed a river up the cave and climbed 5 waterfalls. The first couple of waterfalls were pretty easy, but the last couple were quite difficult- we were harnessed in and had to climb across where the water was running. On the way back down we got to jump into the pools of water at the base of the waterfalls. The guides pack in a lunch of their homemade cheeses, tortillas and sausage.  The first day you aren't so sure about the lunch, but by the third day, you love it. It was an amazing experience. https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1x4VoTat5ZYzJXuGmna299SZYfPl_MXoc
