Ellie really enjoyed cheering for football for her school. She was a base this year, except for one game that they got to cheer at Grand Oaks High School where her flyer was not able to make it, so she got to be the flyer. She got to be in the front row, and all of the cheerleaders got to take turns calling the cheers, so she got to call the cheers every game. They also did pushups for every point that their team scored. One evening that ended up being 190 pushups! (7 pushups for the first touchdown, 14 pushups for the next touchdown, etc.)
This year, there were new cheer coaches. They were much more engaged with the girls and much more strict about attendance and participation. It made it so that cheer was a lot more exciting for the girls.
