After all the trouble we had with the Mustang last year, Joe bought himself a new car (2011 BMW 750i) and he started driving that. Adam started driving the truck. We took the mustang to a mechanic that could work on it and it get it running again to sell. Unfortunately, while unloading the Mustang, it rolled into another car and caused damage to both cars. Fast forward a few months and nothing got done on the Mustang. Joe finally got fed up and moved it to his friend Russell’s garage so that Russell’s guy could work on it. It sat inside at Russell’s shop for about 6 months until Joe made a deal to exchange the Mustang for a piece of property Russell owned, then Russell started working on the Mustang.
The BMW and truck were working just fine until one night in July, some guys came up to our house. They pulled up behind the BMW, shined their lights in the license plates for a few minutes and then left. About 10 minutes later they came back- a guy jumped out of the car- ran up to the BMW, clicks dsoemthing in his hand that unlocked the car and jumped in a d drive away. Bam- just like that they made a key and stole our car. The next morning I was really confused when I couldn’t find it- but my neighbor was outside and he was able to pull the footage from the camera he has that partially covers our driveway. We saw the whole thing in video.
They never did recover our car. Anybody sophisticated enough to make a key on the fly is sophisticated enough to not get caught. Suddenly we needed a new car. The deal Joe has made to trade the Mustang for property
fell through and the Mustang was actually getting fixed. Adam was pretty excited to be driving it again, and so now we are back to a Mustang owning family.
